In High School my friends were literally that... "High"! Always trying to get me to join in their little reindeer games of getting faded without getting caught by the teachers. I however was all about the music.

Believe it or not I really only listened to this stuff during my H.S. years.
You wouldn't know nowdays based on the stuff I listen to, but I was a huge Ice Cube fan back in the day. Slow beats with great flow and rhymes. However my parents didn't appreciate me listening to this stuff due to the violent nature of that culture back then.

But every time I hear the high pitched whine in the background track it takes me back to a simpler time. A time when my cousin thought he was black, and I would go over his house to swim. We would make cool-aid before swimming and since his parents didn't give a shit we would put as much sugar as we could in the stuff until it was almost syrup and then go swimming and see who could do the dummbest shit. (Dive off garage into pool. Do gainers off the rickety slide into the deep end. Dive off house into the shallow end)

Yeah those were good times.
